after all star fish are gone ether get rid of the Harlequin or buy a star fish one time a month and cut it up and feed it to the Harlequin

Harlequin Shrimp will attack the central nervus system of the starfish and eat them.. The Harlequin shrimp will die without having a starfish to eat..

yeah i got one and love it, if you have as many as you say they will control the population but not decimate it. and if it does simply buy a $10 CC star and put it in your sump and whack a leg off now and then. I dropped a cc star in my reef and that little guy didnt take 10 secs to get to it and start eating away.
