Honestly they are all basically the same. Some filter canisters, filters, and tubing. Take your pick based off your needs. I like Air, water, Ice. They are a club sponsor, and provide specials and discounts to club members.

All I can say is, I've replaced my Kent Marine RO/DI filter with canisters and filters from BRS over the course of the years. The Kent system I got when I worked at petland and it totally sucked!!!! They're all the same, but I had that Kent filter bust out gaskets left and right, and then I had a canister BURST! @ just 76psi! Granted I leave my RO system pressurized 24/7, but the BRS system I have is cheap to own and operate and reliable. I've had it pressurize and runing for the last 3 yeasr, no problems.

Gotta agree with Andy and Dave--- go with BRS stuff, AC&C sells their products.

Is there a big difference I guess between the 4 and 5 stage BRS units? I guess for saltwater what is the advantage I guess between the 2.

The difference is the amount of filter chambers. You will have pre-filters, RO Membrane and post-filters. I would suggest having at least 1 DI resin chamber if not the dual one from BRS. I just purchased the dual system and now my total dissolved solids are down to 0. Go to bulk reef supply on line, they have videos discussing various things and they have one on ro systems. It will be very informative. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

Bulk Reef Supply has their daily special on their BRS 5 stage PLUS RO/DI right now. It's 20 dollars off the normal price. Just picked mine up /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

I bought all my pieces separably and assembled it myself. ended up costing about the same as a new system from ebay or something.

Also my Orchids love ro/di water

So ordered the BRS Stage 5 unit with the hardness meter and all the goodies. Ran it for about 3hrs to clean the filters free of junk. Ran some nice RO water today. Very nice unit, easy to setup. Thanks everyone for recomending this system.
