my opinion also says none...if you are watching your parameter closely and feeding lightly and staying punctual on water changes and filter cleaning and replacement as you should with a smaller tank you should i think you would be fine without running a skimmer.

I have a 29 bio cube as well and run the bio cube brand skimmer on it. I believe it is the only one made to really fit into the bio cube. It just hooks on it the back chambers.I do regular wAter changes but I don't think you really have to have one. But it also doesn't hurt either. Mine came along with the set up from the person I bought it from. They never used it on the tank. But i hooked it up and have had it running in the over three years I have had it running.

We use to use the Biocube skimmer, but we no longer use it. We just do our regular water changes.

The Bio cube skimmer is a joke in my opinion.

I run the aquatic life 115 but as mentioned, not needed at all. Works good and pulls stuff out, but would have rather spent money elsewhere.

Yes it is! I have a 29g Biocube and don't run a skimmer. I do a 10% water change every Sunday and have no issues. The Biocube skimmer is worthless.
