So, how did Santa treat everyone this year? Not really a Christmas gift (Merry Christmas to me!) but I did get new lights for one of our tanks and they came on Friday so going to count them. For our 300DD we went with 4 ReefBreeder Photon-32's (the V2's). We've only had them running since Saturday but I have to say i am very impressed with them. The good news: they have 6 channels you can control (red, green, violet, white, royal blue, cool blue). The bad news: they have 6 channels you can control (almost too many options!).

They replaced 4 of the V1 photons which were starting to have issues. I must say, Logan was very good to work with and gave us decent credit on trading in the old lights for the new ones.

    What did everyone else get?

I decided to treat myself. After clearing my tank of inhabitants I stopped at Seascapes.

Red mandarin, sixline wrasse, and a firefish came home with me.

@Dave@Dave are those the V2 Photons in that pic? Those kinda look like the Maxspect Razor style housing or something similar to is, very thin profile vs. the Chinese black box style look of the old ones

Yep, they are the V2 and are a big step up from the prior generation. The housing is AL to fare better in a marine environment (although as high as we hang them there were no issues with the v1's from that perspective.

    Nice

I didn't get any reefing stuff myself, but then again, I didn't have any on my list. My new-equipment-boneyard is way too full to try to add more stuff to it at the moment lol

I did however use some old BRS boxes to package a few gifts. When you order the alk refills, they sometimes come in a really nice box that I saved so the kids were like "yay something from Bulk Reef Supply hahaha" so there's that...

I received a gift card to both BRS and Live Aquaria along with a card from my wife to get myself something! Right now I'm thinking new lights are in my future as well; currently debating between 2 AI 26 HDs or 2 Kessil A360W (90 gallon tank) though I do like the looks of your new ones! Need to do some research on the V2s.

I'll be getting a new bulkhead because I broke mine on Christmas. :( B

But on the bright side I will have a new 20G pipped into my main tank soon and the new Chaeto Reactor is up and running now let hope the very small amount of Chaeto I had at the bottom of my sump will grow out.
