    Ingredients:
50lbs of Wet Aragonite Sand (prepared in advance)
    Directions:
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Layout foil on several baking sheets and spread sand evenly. Place in oven until satisfied.
    Preparation:
Bathed it in bleach yesterday, rinsed it five times, added Seachem Primer and let soak overnight, rinsed 5 more times, let soak in primer for 6 hours..... Dumped out water..
Note: My girlfriends not around tonight or I think I'd be scolded for misuse of the oven, forced to clean the oven, then forced to bake a cake! Haha[IMG]

Bleach followed by thiosulfate would have done the trick just fine. If your trying to sterilize the sand. We do it here all the time, to wipe a tank before babies or cultures are introduced.

Better question though...Why did you need to wipe the sand? Got something nasty?

I can only assume your baking to dry?

The sand came out of another system, it sat in a bucket for a week, then in a bucket with a lid on it for another week: when I opened it.. It was a bomb in my kitchen... It was loaded with bristle worms, snails, etc. The ghastly smell when I opened that bucket could only be arrested quickly by bleach. I wasn't going to deal with the smell otherwise. The sand is for my Berghia Breeding project. It's going in the aiptasia breeding tank but I don't want to risk stow aways of any kind. Baking was to dry (I also increased temp to 500 degrees).

Haha! I can't decide what's more appealing between freshly baked sand and cupcakes. How about both, but definitely not in the oven at the same time! How about these? Lol. Happy baking..
