Ok, I just noticed this as my lights cam up today. one of my wrasses has some kind of huge sore looking thing right behind his head. I tried to capture a pic, but it'snot the greatest. Any thoughts?

I don't think so. It looks like a sore or something.

I've had different fish over the years that show up with sores, scrapes etc. I figured they got into a tussle or scraped themselves on a rock. They cleared up in a week or two. YMMV

    It's looking better today.

What's bothering me now is I think my whole fish population might be going down. Sailfin sick. Flame angel mia. Others not looking good. Params all ok. I think my powder browns latest ich outbreak might have finally got to other fish. Lost two in the past week and a half. Now perhaps more. Extremely sad.

  7. Keep your head up! Things will swing back around soon enough. Just pay close attention to your fish for the next few weeks and do your best to keep them fat and healthy!

What have you done lately? Added any new fish recently? Is that wrasse missing it's lower jaw? Does there seem to be a white film on his side? Right behind the eye there (where I think it looks a little wierd in the picture) is typically where head and lateral line errossion occurs.

The only thing new since I moved the tank to the new house was a copperband I put in a few weeks ago to hopefully help with aphasia. It's dead and gone now. The powder brown got ichy when I put him in but that's a normal thing for him.

That's all the wrasse is looking better and does have his jaw. I'm thinking it might have an injury.

    So bummed.

No sign of the Sailfin or the flame this morning. The sailfin came out to eat last night, but the nori I left in the clip is still out. Ugh. If he doesn't come out I'm going to have to tear the rock work out. He's too big to leave to the crabs.
