Based on the below list what should I be feeding this tank.  I currently add Trace elements and Iodine.  I have used Reef Vital DNA from Mark Weiss.  Other than target feed what products would you suggest.
    24 Blue legged crabs
    48 turbo snails
    1 Green serpent star
    1 coral banded star
    Toad stool
2 Cabbage (was one when purchased but it decided to split on its own over a year ago.)
    1 Favia
2 Clove Polyps, Pink and green
    1 candy torch
    1 wellso brain
    mushrooms (several varieties)

Anything from Marc Weiss you can throw in the garbage.

Rotifers, green water, and fish. Feed your fish, your fish poop and that feeds everything else.

I would put a cube of prime reef in an algae clip/net that will hold the cube of prime reef in there once a week so your hermit crabs and snails don't starve to death. You can buy this clip/net thing at marine depot for like 3 bucks and also tie a shoestring to it so you can pull it back off the bottom once all the food is gone. My critters dog pile this thing where you can't even tell what is is other than a mass of critters. http://www.marinedepot.com/Ocean_Nutrition_Feeding_Frenzy_Grid_Feeder_Clip_ 2.50. Hey and if you do this make sure the shoestring doesn't hang over the tank it will leak all your water out use a clothspin or another feed clip to hold sting to the top lip of the tank/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

@Bennyboy, that is is a great idea. The simplest things can be the most effect.

Thanks to all for the advice.

@xroads, what in my tank would benefit from green water? I used it in the past and I think I may have been feeding too much but I had an algae problem afterwards and think this may have been the cause.

I noticed you do not have any fish on your list. As Craig said feed your fish. I also do not think you need to be dosing anything at this stage of your tank unless you are never doing water changes.

Don't dose anything you can't test for! Craig is definitely right, don't use all those "snake oil" supplements that Marc and others sell. Us as hobbyists are stupid for keeping people like him in business.

Feed your fish and your fish will feed your corals. Green water(phytoplankton) feeds corals, but more importantly, it feeds the copepods and other micro fauna that start the food chain and in turn again feed the corals and also the fish.

The best supplement you can buy for your fish tank is called synthetic sea salt. Mix it with heated and aerated RO/DI water and then exchange with old seawater from your tank. Your inhabitants will thank you!

Thanks for the feedback.  How much green water should I be using?  I was growing this previously and think I was over dosing the tank if that is possible.  /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/blush.gif

I use 1 teaspoon of greenwater per 50 gallons every other day, and oyster eggs on the days I don't use greenwater. If you have a super nice skimmer it will suck out most of it anyway.
