What to do for Overflow on New Tank?

    Ok, I'm going to be switching out one of my tanks to a DSA Brace less 96x24x24 Tank and it has two overflow boxes drilled with 4-1inch in each box what do you recommend I do for overflow, Herbie or stick with Durso thats on it ? As it was setup it had 2 Durso and 1 return in each box with one hole plugged. Another question is can I T any of the Drains together, example 2 of the 1in into a 2 inch pipe? It will be a mixed reef and heavily stocked if that makes a difference, return on this tank will be a Reeflo Dart Gold. Thanks for any advice.

    That's an interesting drain setup. Someone with more experience may be able to answer how it would or could be effectively plumbed with your particular overflow setup, but a Bean Animal style drain rocks. All the flow you would want and dead silent.

    You cant t a herbie. Causes issues.... how kuch flow are you looking at all together? You may be able to do two herbies at 1 Inch and do your returns over the top (member herbies use 2 pipes per setup. One on the return with a unuon and valve and one free floater to preveny hell.) Your other option is dual durso. There are a coupke eays on the durso and a double.5 t at the bottom could help reduce noise issues. Herbie will give you better flow rated. Durso in tank returns.

    Oh!! wait 4 in each box. Not 4 total!! I would totally go with eithet a dual herbie or maybr even a dual bean animal for ultimate silence failsafe and a dual return system. Imo...

    I'm Going to try to do a build thread when it gets closer I just finished the canopy and am thinking of just putting back in the dual durso orginals in each box and putting Ts on the bottom to cut down on pipes.
