'98 Toyota T-100 4 wd Ext Cab...I loved it but got tired of "climbing" into it so gave it to the hubby. +200,000 miles and still going strong :=0)
'05 Mazda Tribute: wasn't impressed with anything I researched, test drove that year so got it; no problems & gets around great in the snow & ice but ready for something new and different...Nissan Maxima/Toyota Avalon...can't decide on anything so will probably buy the hubby a new Toyota Tundra or Tacoma before I make up my mind! LOL

SaWeet Car Andy...and ...Hart-gotta love that Roadster! :=0)

    2007 Subaru Legacy GT Spec.B

Bought it for speed, performance and autocross. Of course the all wheel drive is pretty good to have too!

I've got a little wrench time in it now and we're at 420hp at the crank, 350 at the wheels with almost 400 ft lbs of torque. I've got a list of new mods coming in December...estimated to end up at 450 or 460 hp at the wheels. It's my daily driver so I'll be stopping there!

Great thread, just touched on my true obsession!!

2010 Acura TL AWD - needed something that can get around in the sticks (now moving closer to DSM) can take a lot of miles (60K and counting in 2 years...) and is a comfortable ride.
    2011 BMW 535 - wife's car. nuff said.
2006 F150 - pull boat, haul stuff, get to work when snow is to bad for #1 above
1999 Olds Alero - daughter #1 - this thing is a deer harvesting machine. 2 in less than 2 years.
    1998 Acura CL - daughter #2 - cheap and reliable purchase from a co-worker.
1987 I-ROC camero (49K actual miles) - wife's "garage queen" - she has owned it for 22+ years - I think it is her security blanket.

Ain't that the truth. My truck was pre-reef tanks and it got a majority of my fun money. 2 different supercharger kits. Horsepower is almost as addicting as reefing LOL. Transmission swap, traction bars, custom audio, the list goes on. Now its probably feeling neglected and jealous because of my reef tank.

    Me: Lexus GX470

Great for the family, trips and carrying large objects. Deal I couldn't refuse.

    Wife:

Honda Fit. She was driving more mile when we bought it - owned many Hondas and Acuras in the past and like the value, resale and reliability. It's getting too small and she's thinking of something fun like the Kia Soul.

We're at both ends of the carbon footprint scale so together we average out /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wink.gif

BMW X3. It's a good compromise between car and SUV. It's smaller than my old Tahoe and bigger than my old Accord sedan.

Ford Escape Hybrid- Hauls everyone around and gets decent gas mileage, as we live in the country and drive back and forth a lot to Iowa City/Coralville. It has 4wd too, which we have needed a time or two.

Pontiac Grand Am- Car my husband uses to commute back and forth to work and on the trips he tales for work.

Wife: 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. Stow & Go seating is one of the best things ever. I can fit full sheets of acrylic in this back. Lots of them. Chrysler, on the other hand, needs to get their head out of their a--. Service problems are constant.
Daughter: 1998 Cadillac Seville, bought from grandpa. Gas guzzler but gets from point A to point B.

Me: had a '99 Altima until the body damage exceeded the value, traded for an '05 Altima in June which got totalled a month ago. Hopefully will be buying a mint condition '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Tuesday. Couldn't pass up the price for car in that condition and service history.

Van: bought it used with 55K miles a year and a half ago.
There is a spot in the air intake that collects debris like leaves, etc (how I don't know) but this causes condensation to drip onto the panel below the passenger side dashboard and drip onto your feet. Cleaning this area out is not covered by the extended warranty.
The panel above is shaped around a fan motor and conveniently this motor gets wet and a resistor corrodes and ends up needing to be replaced. The extended warranty does not cover corrosion, even when it's caused by another problem.
Both side rear automatic doors act up. Driver side quit working. Motor & assembly replaced (covered)
Passenger side starts to open then randomly starts closing (on people). Has been recalibrated. Still does it.
Transmission never has shifted quite right. This bugs the sh-t out of the wife. They have reflashed it and it didn't change much.
Warranty company I also have a beef with. They seem to not cover much. Like when something is called a "hose" it is by default not covered. Like when one blew, but they had to replace the whole assembly which included metal pipes and a bunch of other stuff, but it's called a hose, because that's what Chrysler calls it.
Media center display kept randomly shutting off. Warranty covered this.
Doesn't seem to burn oil yet. But I'm sure it will.
Been in shop over half a dozen times in a year.

Meanwhile I can count on one hand the number of times my old 99 Altima needed to go into the shop to get something looked at and/or repaired. That was from 25K to 190K miles over 10 years.

  14. 2005 toyota tundra 4.7L because i wanted a 4 dr truck and my 1986 toyota truck had 481K on it. yes i said 481 thousand miles. i sold it in 2008 and it still is driving today!

my tundra is awesome 131 k on it and never done anything other than service to it, and loved that 21mpg on the highway B4 i opted for mud tires and now im down to 18.5

the wife has a 2004 mazda MPV and aside from the occasional coil issues on it when it rains hard its been bullet proof as well

07 Suburban for the ride and pulling the boat. When you have 2 in car seats and a large dog the Tahoe was not going to cut it for weekend trips. I love the ride, it is more like a car than a truck.

Sold '11 Sonata for a '10 528Xi. Wife drove over18k miles per year and the gas mileage was what sold us on the Sonata but now she does not travel and gas is no longer a concern. Why the 5 series, well it is bigger than the 3 and not as expensive as the 7. BMW is my ultimate everyday car because of their performance and the warranty. Everything is free except for tires, they replace brakes Really!!! They really know how to engineer a car and the perfromance is second to none.

My ultimate dream car is a Corvette ZR1. Wife thinks it is not practical with 2 kids but little does she know it will be the next purchase. Well maybe after a M5 but it is on my 20 year plan. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

I would love to have an 05 Tundra. Damn things are almost impossible to find. You almost have to have people out hunting lots for you, and be ready to put money down site unseen so they will hold them for you.

  17. there all over the place, i got mine on autofinder.com i was actually looking for a 2000 to 2003 access cab for $11,500 or less and ran across this one in greenbay WI for $12,700 so i couldnt pass it up. had 92k on it whick i am shure scared allot of people but for being a 3 year old truck but heah its a yota and i dont babby it one bit, drive it like i stole most of the time.

and on a side note if you are gonna need new rubber for yours soon X-runner i would suggest ther goodyear duratrac. had my 10ply mounted and out the door with road hazzard and 55k mileage warrenty for 760$

    Right now:

2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. My wife drives everywhere in the state for work and this is a really nice little car with all the bells and whistles. Our original plan was to trade both of our cars for this car and be a one car family. We tried for a year, with me riding around town on my motorcycle. That didn't work out well, so....

I got a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It had 149K on it when I got it a few weeks ago. Mainly, I wanted something I could drive to work and around town that would also have some cargo space. The Honda has absolutely none. Can barely fit a guitar in the trunk.

    In the past:

    2005 Saab 9-3

    2003 Saab 900

    2000 Saab 9000

    1989 Saab 900

    1997 Hyundai Elantra

    2005 Hyundai Elantra

    2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

    1993 Volvo 740

    1991 Mazda B2200

    1985 Dodge Omni

    2002 Triumph Bonneville.
