Has anyone used the new BRS 10" reactor cartridge?

Looks like a nice design improvement...will probably give them a try, but would like to hear what others think about them...

I don't think it was long ago. I only noticed it a few weeks ago.

I got some reactors from them ~3 months ago and they have them so at least 3 months ago but I don't know the exact time they switched. Don't think it was all that long ago.

What do you think of them lehrjet?  Did you ever use the old style?  These look like a nice improvement.  They look easier to clean and if you use the large granules, you wouldn't even need sponges at all.  They look usable for all media from biopellets to carbon and GFO.
I'm going to put one on my order tomorrow since they're only $3 more than buying a replacement sponge set for the old style reactor canisters.

I like them. I haven't used the old style but I use biopellets carbon and gfo with them. I use no sponges with bio 1 with gfo probably wouldn't have to but paranoid, and I use two with carbon but I don't use carbon very often. They are very easy to change and clean that is for sure.

Jeremy, are you running those biopellets on your 220? Is so, how many of these BRS canisters are you using?

I run almost 4 cups of bio pellets on my 220, 2 canisters. I usually run around 3.5 cups of gfo but once in awhile I switch some of the gfo out for carbon for a short bit then move it back to gfo.

These are for use in a standard RO unit housing, correct? Anyone using them for DI resin beads? I hate cleaning out the sponges on the older style when you have to change the resin.
