Which Metal Halide Replacement Bulbs to Buy?

    I'm looking to get a couple 250w 14000k replacement metal halide double ended bulbs. Thinking Phoenix brand, but not sure. What's the best value for quality and where do you order from?

    I was thinking of replacing the 250's in my fixture as well. The brand that was recommended to me by a fellow club member was Phoenix brand 14 K

    Good to know - that's the same brand I found the best reviews for too. Wonder if there's particularly good place to get them locally or online - ideas anyone?

    +1 on the Phoenix 14k, I loved the color.. I always ordered online but I cant remember where I got them from.. Im sure someone here will know a good place

    Although I didn't use them when I ran MH's, people also talk highly of the Radiums.

    Phoenix are great. I used these because I like the blue tint bulbs.

    Aquarium depot is always best price on Phoenix that I have found.

    I'm thinking of replacing my 250w HQI as well, but I'm lost when I comes to picking a color temp.
    Right now I'm using this light.

    It says it has a 14k bulb but, it loos more like a 10k.
    Is this brand of 14k just not as blue or should I go with a 20k?

    Phoenix 14K is the best 250W HQI bulb IMO. SPS corals grow like mad under them.

    what about these does anybody use them? they are advertising a 3 year + run life
