I have a birdsnest frag and one of the tips is turning white. It wasn't secured very well and it had recently fallen into my duncan/lps - didn't notice until much later that night. So I'm not sure if the duncan could have stung it, or if something else is going on. Should I simply cut the tip off or leave it alone?

    Hey,

I would leave it for now & see what happens. If it is dead it will just encrust over it.

Mine turn white alot when it is getting ready to branch off.

I agree..... leave it alone, it can be an indictaion of new growth, keep an eye on it.

Keep a real close eye on it, a lot of time the dead tissue will start to to recede(RTN) and kill the entire frag. If it's just a tip I'd just snap off below it. A friend of mine had a green slimer a little while ago that had the same problem, we decided it was best to frag above/below the dead tissue and it worked wonders, no more coral was lost.

It seems like it's the white section is bigger today than yesterday.....spreading? Time to cut it?
