Who fishes around the Iowa City area??

    Just a shout out to all the fisher-peoples in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids to see who all likes to throw in a line???  I usually have a fishing buddy...Andy...except he is on a tight leash and is hard to get out of bed before noon!  /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wink.gif  So that being said, if anyone ever wants to go, let me know!  I frequent the dams by the power plant, Iowa River Power Restaurant, Coralville Res., and just started taking my kayak out to Lake MacBride.
    It has been a slow year so far...[​IMG]

    I like to do some fishing when I have the time. My fishing buddies are my kids so I dont get my lines in much, LOL.

    I got a small john boat. Got out a few time last year, but my motor had some starting issues. I will have to get out and get it ready.

    I do some. I used to fish about 100 days a year, now more like 5... Canada has ruined fishing in iowa for me. I never have much luck below burlington st... Envious. Except when the yellows run. That's meat fishing!

    I was pretty happy with this catch. I'll be going out tomorrow at MacBride. (Dad's bringing his bass tracker up) :)

    Big John- Didn't require any diving, just some wet feet! lol

    If anyone ever wants to go, I'm almost always willing to go, rain or shine!

    So just so everyone see's where I get my inspiration...this is the fish my dad caught last year in Davenport for the Big Fish award.  It's my goal to beat him but I think I've got a lot of work ahead of me!  lol

    Nice haul. I would be out this weekend with the boy but headed north. I need to get out since the fishing is soooo gooood right now.

    Caught a 34 lb flathead and a 35 lber two days ago in the res. caught over 1000 lbs of flatheads and channel cats this year already!!

    Wow I need to get feeling better and get the boat out of storage. I mainly go for cat though but would be nice to get some stripper this year

    I used to fish with my old man all the time, but haven't been out for years now. Wish I had the time to do some fishing.
