Who knows alot about orp??

    So I've never really paid attention to my orp but I saensumehere where it said its supposed to be between 250-350 so I was wondering g how I'm supposed to lower it

    Do you have an ORP probe? Most of the time if you dont have an ORP probe, the APEX just makes up a number.

    Yes I do have the probe for the apex and its been basically a constant 920ish an I just never paid attention to it because everyone I've asked always said its nothing to worry about.

    There has to be a malfunction somewhere as 900 is off the charts & would kill off your tank.

    I would clean the probe very well & recheck.

    Funny you say that, my tank did die off.. I wasn't able to keep any type of coral alive then right before my tank crashed I bought a apex controller then shortly after ingot that is when I started having major problems with my tank and a couple days later everything fish and all were dead I tore the tank apart bleached everything and set it back up let it cycle for 4 months and its still 921 if I add vinegar it'll drop clear down to 600 ish but go right back up along with the ph to 8.3

    I would suggest putting your probe in some calibration fluid (400 mV) to verify the reading. If it is not accurate, then recalibrate.
