Came home today and found my MP60 laying in the sand with some orange limbs around it.  Found my orange Linckia on the otherside of the tank crawling around with only 2 of his 5 limbs.  Now I'm wondering if he'll make it and regrow the missing limbs anyone know???  Apparently his limbs fit through the guard, didn't think they would.
Heres what he looks like now[IMG]

Same thing happend to my sand sifting star 4 months ago. He lost one limb, never grew back but he is still alive and happy.

Who knows, maybe it'll make it, hope so......it lost more than half its body mass, will be interesting to see if it can recover. What do they eat? If it eats something you can feed it, might want to increase the food availability. Poor thing :/

It's still crawling around acting normal, just looks a little odd. Looks a little like the missing legs are starting to regenerate some already with little nubs in there place. So it's looking positive.

That does sound promising Jamie seeing little nubs there!! Great water quality and nutritous food should be the ticket as you know! Keep us posted :+)

They can be very sensitive to water parameter swings but rip 3 of their arms off and they will live....go figure

Did you ever find the other legs? did they generate new starfish at all? How's he doing now?
