Woke up this morning..

    Broken heater...
    Today before work i go to check on the tank... Ive been babysitting a sailfin tang that has not been looking so well.. i look in to see my watchman all but dead in the front of the tank(this fish is 8 years old has been through hell). So i start to freak out cause i knew something had to be wrong. I look at the sand and there was about twenty snails on the back. move around to the back of the tank there was the busted heater sitting in the bottom of the tank. Corals look bad but i hope they will come back... saved some of my snails, Tang Died, Watchman is not looking good, rest of clean up crew looks to be ok...

    Sorry to hear that, what brand of heater.

    I would run some carbon if you arent allready

    That sucks! I to am curious as to what brand it was? I have had heaters break before with no negative effect. I am currently useing a via aqua titanium heater so shoulden't have to worry about that crap anymore. It works great at a great price, you might want to look into getting one.

    These heaters are awesome I have had one for about 6 months, and its dead on for temp.  I just bought another one for me and gereds frag tank, they are very cheap and are a good heater.

    Damn heaters, that's why I run 4 heaters on my 125 gallon tank. It's always good to have as many fail-safes for your tank as you can. Hope the rest of your stuff comes through.
