We're cleaning the tank and notice these centipede-like hairy looking worms all over coming out of our live rock.  What could these be, do we want them in our tank, and if not, how do we get rid of them?  Hopefully they're supposed to be there!

Do you see the entire creature? Could also be brittle starfish. I have thousands of them in my tanks and all you really ever see of them is their arms reaching out of the rockwork grabbing at food.

NOTE: DO NOT TOUCH THESE WITH YOUR BARE HAND. These little guys have poison in there spines or bristles what ever you want to call them.

I have some really long ones that are pink and a good 6 inches when I take a light and shine it on the bottom of my tank.

I have heard rumors some eat the silicone holding the glass together. Has anyone else heard this? And is it true?
