Hope you guys actually get your jaebos. There was a cease and dissist order given to them pending a patent hearing from tunze.

They will just ignore the order. China doesn't recognize patents

Ecotech does not have any competition with these. The only thing even close to comparing these to the vortechs is the name. These would be competition of the tunze pumps. Completely internal wavemakers. Ecotech is still all alone with their pumps.

I was referring to price point and functionality competition. But whatever gets you through the night.

I agree David, but we can all agree the price for a vortech is very high for what it is. It is cream of the crop of the wave maker line. If I could drop the money on one I might, but there is so much more I would spend that kind of money on. Maybe someday I will have one.

Just pre ordered the wp25 for my 75 I am redoing. The new controller has random flow, controllable speed and 2100 gph for $100 with shipping. We shall see how it does. I wouldn't replace my mp10 in my biocube, having the unit on the outside is great for more coral on the inside, but for the 75 I don't care much about that.

I wasn't saying it isn't a great option to have for a powerful and controllable pump, I even thought about getting one when I first saw them come out because I have been considering adding a tunze to my tank, and this could be a great alternative to that. I just don't want people confused thinking this is something even remotely similar to a vortech because it is not.

I can't see any one mistaking the wp40 for a mp40.[IMG] there is a big difference.
That being said I think the new controller for them will be great. I also can't wait to see if I can hook it up to apex as others have. DIY are fun..

Got mine today. The thing is pretty solidly built. I plugged it in and it was so dead quiet I wasn't sure it was running. First impressions: pretty darn nice.

We vot ours this week too and have one up and running in the 210. Not as feature rich as our MP60 but am very pleased with the performance out of the box. Does everything we are looking for. Jury is still out until we see about longevity. Good first impression.

Man, I want to try out the WP25 to see how it competes with my MP10. Only thing I'm concerned about is the fact that on RC, they're saying that Jebao doesn't back their product very well. Kind of raises a red flag to me, but considering these have the price of a Tunze and the controlability of the Vortech, I might be willing to give one a shot! Now, I just have to pop in an order and play the waiting game! HA!

Got it tonight after golfing installed and working in my new 220RR. Its filed about 2/3 full of R/O and it will create waves from a stand still of water strait after turning it on. This wave maker is for now one hell of a wave maker. I am very impressed and the size is not as big as a softball. Its about the size of of my fist. Between size of baseball and softball. I can hardly tell its in there in my 220. I am very happy with its power so far. I will up load a video later tonight after my phone charges.
