WTB 10 oz tube aquarium silicone

    Looking to pick up a 10 oz tube of aquarium silicone to re-silicone a tank...if anyone has one that they are willing to part with and you're coming to the event on Sat, let me know...will pay cash or frags.

    They sell aquarium silicon at both Menards and Home Depot... It's under $5 a tube.

    I'm not sure what silicone you're using..the only kind that states that it's acceptable for aquarium is the 3 or 4 oz tubes of DAP. I've not heard that any of the brands that Menards sells being OK to use. I have heard that 'GE Silicone I for Doors and Windows' is certified for food contact. I've also read about some people recommending it on Reef Central. I'll give that a try (they only sell it at Home Depot in the CR area).

    Menards does (or did) sells a brand labeled specifically as "Aquarium Silicon". I've used it many times with no problem at all. I believe it comes in a blue/green package, but I don't recall exactly.

    Menard's does not sell it anymore, Lowe's is where I bought my last tube for around $3.50 a tube.

    lol the post says "WTB 10 oz tube of aquarium silicone" but when you add that "?" on the end, what it's actually saying is "WTS 10oz tube of aquarium silicone" hahah
