My mag seven I just got apparently is demon possesed and liked electrocuting my water.  So I need a mag 7.  I would prefer to buy a used one but need one rather quickly since it runs my skimmer.  Locally please.  Thanks.  Also I would take another pump simililar for doing water transfers.  Thanks agian.
PS.  Locally is Ames area.  I can definetely travel to Des Moines.

Originally i was using the pump to transfer water from my mixed water for water changes to the sump. I had my hand in it and it shocked me!!! At the time i didnt know what it was. Tonight I hooked up that same pump in the sump to power my external skimmer and boom, once again if I stuck my hand in the water, zap. Unplug mag 7, no zap, plug in mag 7 zap. Yes I am a slow learner!

You can get a Utility pump at Lowes, HD or Menards for pretty cheap. It's perfect for transfering water. I've had mine for 11 yrs and do both fresh and saltwater transfers with it. I just put in and out hoses on it. http://www.amazon.com/Wayne-PC2-115-Volt-Portable-Transfer/dp/B000CPZTEK This is what I have and that's a darn good deal..lol

I also use a utility pump from Menards for transfering water and mixing salt. Mine was 30 bucks and hooks to a garden hose also.
