WTB: Controller

    Never had wondering what is a good brand and size. i have a 75 reef tank with a 40 sump. and a 15 frag tank that hold my DIY skimmer. Need input have no idea what to buy want to get one that i can controll from the net. Input?

    If money is not on option, I think the Neptune Apex will be your best bet. Otherwise you can go with the ReefKeeper Elite.

    was looking more for a used one. but if i cant find a used one i will be buying a new one. price doesnt really matter but i am always looking for the best deal

    Aqua Controler 3. That will do everything you want it to. The Apex is very nice but expensive. I don't have any experence with ReefKeepers, but have heard of some issues with them.

    ya i'm starting to think i shouldn't of. one of my outlets wont shutoff anymore when i put it on standby like it should. kinda ****ty..

    does anyone own an AC JR? If so how does it work. From the description it looks like its good.

    An ACJR would be a fine (and inexpensive) starter controller. If you ever decide you want to upgrade to an AC3 or even an APEX you will be able to use a lot of the stuff that went with the JR.

    The only down side to the ACJR is that it can control fewer devices and is not as "internet friendly" as the other controllers. Other than that, they work great. I used one for a long time before I upgraded to an AC3.

    You can get a brand new ACJR package with probes and DC8 power bar for around 300. If you keep your eye out for used, you should be able to pick one up for under $200.
