Hi there everyone! I've just re-set up my 29 gallon biocube and would like to put some corals in it. If anyone has any beginner's corals such as xenia, hardy lps, or even some more advanced corals please let me know. Also I have purchased a 125 gallon tank that will hopefully be part of the insane reef tanks that actually has an eel in it. What I've realized though is that in order to do that I'm going to need an RO unit, otherwise I'm going to be taking a lot of trips to Hy-Vee, which is going to be a pain. I live in the Des Moines area so if you can help me out with any of these requests, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have a bunch of xenia fragged and mounted on rubble rock ready for the taking. Some of it is spoken for but you have have at least one piece of it. Until you get an RODI I can make up water for you if you're in a pinch, mine makes about 75 GPD even though the membrane is 150 go figure. Slower the better in WDM.

If it were me, I wouldn't put xenia or anthalia in a tank. It grows beautifully, but that's the problem. You can't get rid of it very easily when the time comes. I'd do some leathers or colt coral instead.

Thanks for the advice iaJim, but if it's pulsating xenia it's worth it to me. Plus I was going to have it grow on the back of the tank instead of the rocks since they do spread like plague, lol.
@ Floyd R Turbo That would be awesome (especially if it pulses)! How much were you thinking for a piece or two of it? Also I might have to take you up on that make-up water offer later because right now I haven't finished plumbing the big one yet. But thank you for offering!

as far as a ro unit goes. you buy a used one and replace all the filters membrane and stuff, you have what it cost to buy a new one.
