Use pool filter sand. It looks really nice. Or if you want just gravel you can get 50 lb bags for like $4 at menards or probly any home improvement store. Just give it a good rinse.

I had pool filter sand in a fw setup a few years ago. Its super clean stuff. It had absolutely no dust on it. You shouldnt have to rinse it. Itd be your better option probly. Ud definitely have to rinse any gravel tho. Use the sand and run the tank a few days with a filter.

That looks like itd work. Do you have any pool supply stores up that way? They might be cheapest. But otherwise that should work.

I would still rinse it. PFS is really dusty stuff. The Menards stuff is exactly the same as the stuff you get from Leslie's pool supply, they just don't spend the extra $$ to get it 'certified'.
