If you want to pay the cost of a small flatrate box I could send you a nice chunk of star polyps free.

Just a friendly word of advice. If you add GSP, Kenya trees or a few others (like purple mushrooms) to your tank, you will have them forever whether you want them or not. I know that I would never add them to a tank that I couldn't easily re-start from scratch.

Unless you segragate them from the rock work. I have a big patch of gsp on the bottom. I cut it down before it gets to rock work and have had no problems containing it. But yeah if you throw it on your rocks and let it go you'll never be able to get it off. Short of killing the rock.

I suppose I wasn't majorly concerned for the GSP's... I'm planning to put them on a shelf rock so that I can remove it easily & check to be sure they don't spread off. Right now it seems like that particular rock is always overcome by hair algae so I thought if I put a GSP on there that it might overcome the hair algae (and be much more attractive). What are your opinions for GSP's suitability for this purpose? As far as Kenya trees go... I'm not sure how that works. I don't have much of an open sand bed. I have about 6 or 8 square inches of open sand bed in the front of my half moon DT. I keep of my corals in my 30 half moon sinch it has suitable LED's for coral. It sounds like they grow / spread quickly? I have two other DT's I could try them out in so long as T8's would be sufficient to try Kenya Trees?

GSP is controllable as long as you keep it segregated from your rock work. Kenya trees are not controllable. They "self frag" and will blow all around your tank and attach themselves to stuff. Once they attach, they are virtually impossible to remove. You can tear them off and scrub the rock and they will still grow back.
