A single Kessil A150 would be great for that size tank.

I was also considering getting into LED's with my 29 biocube. Currently have stock PC's. Has anyone put a Nano AI on theirs? I'd like to mod my stock hood to accommodate an AI. I'll check out the other suggestions here too.

I have an AI nano on my 29 gallon biocube hqi. Check out my tank thread. The AI covers the tank perfectly.

That looks amazing!!! Unfortunately I don't have the HQI model so I'm trying to think of a good way to mount an AI while having a nice looking hood. I have cats in the house so a lid is necessary. Any suggestions?

Yes, 1 would be enough. I have the sky blue 10k. More of a 12k look to my eye. Video at bottom of link to show the colors.

the marineland 18-24 kit actually fits a 30" tank. the spread is pretty nice too.

The rapid led kit for the biocube is the way to go. With dimmable drivers. Even at about 30% you can keep any coral you want

How do you dim the coNtrollers? Looks like you get everything but something to turn lower up or down. Here is what I'm looking at.

Youll need two linear potentiometers. They have them for 3.50 each. That is what youll use to dim them with

I was looking at the rapidled DIY for the biocube. Does anyone know if that will fit in the biocube 8? They have it for the 14, and the measurement of the heatsink will fit the plastic, but I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience.

    Thanks

I've decided to go with a AI Sol (black case) instead of doing the DIY build. I'll miss my original hood but I want the ability to control the lights without mannually turning knobs.

Has anyone bought anything through aquacave.com?
