WTB mp40

All MP40s are wireless. With MP40s, there are three versions, and I'm going by memory, so I might forget a detail or two. They are Gen 1, Gen 2 and EcoSmart. The Gen 2 updates some of the parts on the wet side and improves the coating on the magnets (Some of the Gen 1 wet sides developed rusty magnets over time). If you get a Gen 1, you can get a wet-side rebuild kit from EcoTech pretty inexpensively and they are user serviceable. This replaces the bearings, shaft and the nut on the end (which I believe is how you can tell a Gen 1 wet side from a Gen 2 wet side). The magnet is not included in the rebuild kit. The EcoSmart upgrades the driver so that you have more modes that you can choose from. It also adds lights so that you can see the power level the pump is running at and also allows you to set your control much easier. This is a pretty distinct difference as the upgraded driver is $100. Also, you should try to get the latest firmware. You can do this by flashing it from another MP40 running the latest firmware (same driver type) or sending it in to EcoTech and they will do it for you. Hope that helps you in your buying process.
