Get a controller that controls just one heater and use a power bar to split it to plug multiple in. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/hybrid//emoticons/smile.gif

What size of tank? I take it its a 220 from your info. I have a 210 and use several blueline titanium heating elements from champion lighting supply which have been good heaters for the last year. I use a Ranco temp controller to run them. you can buy a single stage controller all wired for around $90 or a dual stage for $130 i run a dual because a single stage wont run all of my heaters off on 1 stage. i run two heaters on 1 stage and another on the second stage. the reason for this is i would rather have several small heaters rather than 1 big one that way if one acts up i have a backup. If you look up www.etcsupply.com you should be able to find their site. it should be under etc controllers. I know this might be more than you wanted to spend but i thought it would give you a idea. ive had one for over a year and its a awesome controller. It might also be cheaper in the long run to buy a cheap controller such as a reefkepper lite because you can control more with that than just heaters. Ive never used one so hopefully some other club members can give you some input on that.

If you are paying around 100 bucks anyway I would just go with a reefkeeper lite at $99

I have heard that rancos are much more accurate and durable than aquacontrollers though since they are specifically made for heating and cooling.

I really like my ranco because i can trust it to be correct. it is a whole lot better than alot of the controllers on the market for the aquarium hobby!
