I have a 75gallon FOWLR tank that I would eventualy like to add some softies to if I can keep them alive. I have lighting for the softies but am not great with my nitrates. I do not like water changes either.

I have a remora skimmer but the pump needs replaced. Mag 5-need either the whole thing or just the drive.

I would like to add an inline reactor system but have not figured out if it is possible and the best way to go about it yet. My theroy on the reactors are sulfur-because you can go a LONG time before replacing media; vodka (which is carbon-right?) becuase it is cheap (the only downside is you have to dose daily); phos ban-I can rejuvinate this media although it is time consuming; and coral to up pH-this I can see no cost effective-ness. On the coral I may just do a kalk drip instead

I will be putting together another tank that I am hoping to make a reef tank if I can can figure out the filtration/reactor system on the 75g first. I'm looking to make it as hands free as possible. I will need T5's or LEDS, hanging is OK as I will be building the frame/stand. The tank is pie shaped and will fit into a corner. I would like a sump underneath to grow cheato in and hold all filtration and such. I will be needing powerheads. Substrate is a possiblilty although I am not really likeing the sandbed in my 75g so I may decide to go bare. I have pleanty of live rock, I may just need a rock for seeding. I could use one of my own but I have red bubble algea and REALLY do not want to introduce that.

Far as livestock I have 2 clowns and am debating adding another pair-anyone with experience on that? Experience not IMO. I am looking @ a damsel. I want to get a mandarin but need to make sure I have pods first-I thought I did but that may have been just airbubbles or they died off. I am lookinf @ a softie for my clowns but don't know if I can keep him happy. I hav one blue hermit crab and am looking @ getting 4 scarlet crabs but they are in short supply @ my LFS.

I am sure there is more but rather than sifitng through all the sell and trades and responding to them and them they ask "what are you talking about" I thought I'd post on here.

I have tried twice to house two sets of clowns in a 100gallon and a 55gallon, wont work. they may be ok for a very short time but eventually two will need to be removed if they havent been killed by the tougher pair. Just the way they are. some juve's that started together will be ok until they get older and pair up, then a pair is about it, unless your very lucky and or have a huge tank. Mine were all the same type, percs. Two different varieties definately wont work in a tank that size. Only time I have personally seen it kinda work is in a HUGE tank (was a 300 w/ 2 pairs of fancys) and there were lots of anemones and space for separate territories, seemed to still argue a bit tho. Id highly recommend not trying and if you want a different pair just rehome the ones you have or as we all love to do...start another tank /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif I wish clowns were a schooling type of fish, a school of clowns would be awesome!!
