If anyone knows of a local member with one that has split or someone ready to sell one, I am interested. I am nervous spending this much money to have one shipped from who knows where.

Please dont be offended, but please rethink your wish.

Carpets get very big, are very demanding, are very toxic, and eat alot of fish.

They do not split like a bubble tip.

They are usually around $500 for a small one.

Xroads is correct but the biggest worry is lighting and water quality, They need fairly bright lighting..Halides or several T5's and water quality has to be kept stable to keep it happy and also to keep it from wanting to move around. I don't know how large of a aquarium you have but keep in mind these need lots of room. I wouldn't put one in anything less than a 75g.
I had a Haddoni that was about two feet across. I only lost a couple fish and one coral that fell into it over the five or so years I had it.
Most fish will steer clear of it especially if it's hosted but the two I lost were spooked and inadvertently swam into it.

I appreciate all of you comments. I plan to put this in my 120 (4'x2'x2') setup with a pair of clowns and a couple other small fish and corals. There is a lot of open area in the setup so that I assume there will be plenty of room. I have already purchased the Aqua Illuminations moduls so lighting is covered, dual mp40es's to address flow, all the other necessities that this guy could desire, and assume the tank is as stable as any of us can get. I realize the care/requirements/needs of the anemone, the risk to other inhabitants as well as the cost of the fella, primarily my reasons to find one locally rather than subject it to the shipping. With all that clarification, if you know of anyone, especially someone with cramped quarters or a desire to unload, please direct them my way.
