   will purple coralline grow on a live ball sponge? I am guessing the sponge is dead? looked it up and couldn't find anything. should I remove it?

   He is about the size of a ping pong ball. The sponge was on the rock when it shipped. Algae was not on there last week

   Nope, the coralline should not be on a live sponge. If a small area has died, then yes, coralline could be in that spot/area. Just leave it and see :0) Sorry, I can't tell if it's dead or alive :9(

   The little guy is pretty covered in it by this point. Good news is the purple coraline is spreading. I will watch it and remove him if it gets worse. Thanks.
