Yellow barred maroon clowns have eggs!

    I noticed this evening that my clowns were busy today..theres a mass of golden colored eggs on an old stem of coral rock right next to their anemone.They don't even feed now.Jut hang out by the eggs. n Now what??   :)

    Golden color eggs? Mine were always red in color from my gold stripe maroons... But if you want to try to raise them you have about 7-9 days before they hatch to get rotifers and hope your other fish dont eat them...

    Kinda golden orange...but not red.They are having fun guarding them from the crabs,stars and other scavengers

    I'd buy the clownfish book my Joyce Wilkerson. Here's the link:

    It is a great book, definitely a must read for anyone attempting to raise clowns. There's other books out there that will be good too, but this is the one that I think would be the best for you to read first.

    Adam, I have that book already....LOL I don't intend on breeding mine, too many fish now.Just thought that the female had spent enough time alone so I got her the male.If she doesn't quit re-arranging all the corals in their end of the tank they may both go ;-)

    P.S. it is a great book...gives details on everything. Someday I may setup a seperate tank for them.

    Sounds good, if you decide not to keep them, Craig's looking for more breeding pairs of clowns at AC&C and you could use the credit for a different pair of clowns or anything else at the store.
