You don`t really put those ugly frag pegs in your tank do you?

    Yes most people do, the coral will cover them & spread to the rock & you wont see it after awhile.

    If I can find a good hole to place it in, then it's good. But with caps, I usually take them off.

    I cut off the pegs and epoxy them to the rock.

    I thought the frag pegs were the reason to buy fragged coral in the first place... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/whistling.gif

    My rock is man made. There  are no holes or crevices to stick a peg....

    I drill holes in the rocks so the plug is almost flush with the rock. So eventually it looks like this.

    I cut the frag off but leave about 1/3 of it on and put that in the frag tank to grow in and super glue the new frag into my display.

    LOL, that was meant as a joke/sarcasm. As om "I collect the pegs, not the corals we stick on them"

    I would recomend just taking the frag off the plug.  I usually reglue the frag to a small piece of rock and then glue that rock to my main rockwork.  That way it has room to encurst and grow and I can easily move the entire frag/colony to other spots in the tank.

    I use wire cutters. It doesn't require much pressure.
