Hopefully everything goes good otherwise ill have to try something else new lol jk ;).

Ive read quite a bit about this method so im pretty confident with it seems simple enough basically continue what im already adding daily but just add a couple more then agitate the reactor everyday to every other day.

Gotta get my alk a little bit lower which reminds me im gonna decrease one mil now :)

When I was talking to Murray Camp about this he mentioned that one of the reasons you are supposed to tumble the reactor is that you need to break away the bacterial biofilms that form on the media so that these can be exported and then there is a fresh area for bacteria to re-populate. Does this sound like what you've been hearing? Essentially it's a form of carbon dosing but I have heard that they keep the mechanism kind of a guarded secret.

Have considered this myself but have held off for the same reasons as Jeremy. Got to love those pastel colored colony's though.

Hey Donny. When you agitate the zeo stones do you have to run effluent into skimmer or a filter sock?

This is from the zeo guide

The mulm, released from the ZEOvit® material, contains bacteria that are used as food
by the corals. We therefore recommend placing the ZEOvit® filter after the skimmer in
the last compartment of the sump. This is very important because it provides nutrients
to the animals. This procedure has a very positive impact on colors, polyp extension,
and vitality of the corals. Large Polyped Corals (LPS) react with fully expanded tissue.

Another thing about when you clean the reactor the mulm actually feeds the corals so that is another reason to have the reactor after the skimmer to not filter it.
