Anyone else feel an overwhelming urge to collect every color combination that you can lay your hands on?

At first I did. Now that I am redoing my tank and I know how quick they spread I am just choosing the ones I like the best to fill in open areas. Shaun

Zoathid hoarding is a very common problem. =) I've had the addiction since 2003. but now, i try to be very selective about what i buy b/c theres just so many to be had. i try to keep mine as large frag sizes and never let a type get too big. I buy only the best, but only at a non insane price. It helps to be good friends with other local zoa enthusiasts. Whenever a local collector gets in a new batch, we trade and share, or sell. im very happy with my collection.

So, just out of curiosity, how on earth do you frag zoas? They are so tiny! Mine are nowhere near populated enough to frag but at the rate they are growing, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm ready to for next Spring Fest or something.

For everything you wanted to know about fragging check out this Eric Borneman Video:
    http://www.reef-tube.com/video/11/Eric-Borneman-on-Coral-Fragging
It's a 70 min video so if you don't have that kind of time he does Zoas around minute 49.
Watching this video really makes you appreciate how tough many of the corals in our tanks really are.

I'm surprised saltwaternewbee hasn't responded to this - has almost every type of zoa imaginable!
